How It Works
One search. Every UK auction house. Never miss the car you're looking for.
The Problem
Classic car auctions in the UK are fragmented across dozens of auction houses. Enthusiasts have to check multiple websites every week to avoid missing the car they're looking for. Each house has its own search, its own format, and its own schedule. KickingTyres solves this.
What We Do
We aggregate
Our system monitors 22 UK auction houses daily, pulling in every classic, collector, and performance car as soon as it's listed.
You search
One search covers every auction house. Filter by make, model, year, price, body style, and more.
You never miss
Save searches and we'll alert you when a matching car comes to auction. That E30 M3 you've been hunting? We'll find it.
What We Cover
We focus on the interesting stuff: classics, collectors, performance cars, and modern enthusiast vehicles. No fleet disposals. No Corsa 1.0Ls. Currently aggregating from 22 UK auction houses covering approximately 6,000 lots per year.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is KickingTyres?
KickingTyres is a free UK car-auction aggregator. We pull listings from 22 UK auction houses into a single searchable platform, filtered through a curated catalogue of 3,100+ classic, collector, and performance car models.
Which auction houses does KickingTyres cover?
We aggregate 22 active UK auction houses, including H&H Classics, Historics Auctioneers, Iconic Auctioneers, Bonhams, Manor Park Classics, Mathewsons, Hampson Auctions, Hobbs Parker, Anglia Car Auctions, Charterhouse, Morris Leslie, SWVA, Brightwells, Humbert & Ellis, Ewbanks, Spicers, WB & Sons, and others. A weekly full re-scrape ingests every active source's entire catalogue; saved cars are refreshed roughly every 4 hours.
Is KickingTyres free to use?
Yes. Browsing, searching, viewing listing details, and using the sold-lot price archive are all free with no account required. Creating a free account adds saved cars, saved searches, and email alerts.
How often is the data updated?
Saved and shortlisted cars are polled approximately 4 times a day for price, title, and status changes. The full catalogue of every active source is re-scraped weekly (Wednesday 04:00 UTC, staggered 5 minutes per source). Sold-outcome detection runs after each auction ends, parsing 17 of 22 source sites for hammer prices.
What types of cars does KickingTyres include?
Classics, performance cars, collectors' vehicles, and modern enthusiast cars (e.g. Porsche 911, BMW M3/M5, Lotus Elise, Aston Martin, Ferrari, classic Mini Cooper, MGB GT, Caterham, etc.). The catalogue deliberately excludes fleet disposals, generic city cars, and commercial vehicles.
Does KickingTyres keep records of sold lots?
Yes. Sold lots remain indexed indefinitely with their hammer price and sale date. The sold archive is browsable on each brand and model page, and is intended as a long-term reference for what specific cars actually sold for at UK auction.
How does the matching work?
Each scraped listing is scored against our master catalogue using weighted token similarity, year-in-range checking, generation-code matching (E30, 993, W126, etc.), engine-size validation, and a sub-brand layer (e.g. Alpina vs. BMW). Confidence ≥ 0.85 auto-matches; 0.60–0.85 enters a manual review queue; below 0.60 is rejected.
Can I get alerted when a specific car comes to auction?
Yes. Create a free account, save a search with the filters you care about (brand, model, year range, price range, etc.), and we'll email you when a matching car is listed. Alerts can be weekly digest or real-time depending on your preference.
