Known Issues to Watch For
GTV 916: Engine - Twin Spark has cam variator issues (ticking noise), timing belt critical. V6 timing belt every 36k (absolutely critical - do it early). Gearbox generally robust, check synchros. Front-wheel drive - CV joints, driveshafts can wear. Body - better rust protection than older Alfas but check arches, sills on earlier cars. Interior leather can crack. Electrics generally reliable. Budget £2-4k annually.
