2007 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage (2005-2017) was the entry-level Aston Martin but with genuine sports car dynamics. The 4.3-litre (later 4.7-litre) V8 produced 380-420hp. Designed by Henrik Fisker, the V8 Vantage offered Porsche 911 rivalling performance at a similar price. Over 12,000 built. Values from £35k for early 4.3 cars.

Sportshift automated manual - clutch/actuators expensive. Electrics: Ford-derived systems. Throttle pedal sensor. Various sensors. Brakes: Standard discs adequate. CCB optional but expensive when worn. Body: VH platform aluminium - check for accident damage repair quality. General: Budget £5-8k annually.
