Registration – X15 RAN Chassis No. – WP0ZZZ99Z78789315 M.O.T. – April 2026 Odometer – 33,891 The 997 generation 911 Turbo is widely regarded as one of the last truly analogue supercars produced by Porsche, combining formidable performance with everyday usability and the engineering integrity for which the marque is renowned. At its heart lies the celebrated Mezger derived 3.6 litre twin turbocharged flat six engine, a unit with direct lineage to Porsche’s endurance racing programme and long ...
The 997 Turbo brought variable turbine geometry to the 911, allowing the 3.6-litre (later 3.8-litre) flat-six to produce 480-500hp with minimal turbo lag. All-wheel drive provided incredible traction, making this the daily-drivable supercar killer. Available with manual or PDK, it combined continent-crushing grand touring ability with genuine sports car dynamics.
Coolant pipe failures can occur, particularly on early 997.1 cars. Turbocharger wastegate rattle is common but often cosmetic. PDK mechatronics units can fail and are expensive to replace. Suspension bushings wear faster than naturally aspirated models due to added weight. PCCB, if fitted, has expensive service requirements.
Manual transmission (increasingly valuable), Sport Chrono Package, PCCB ceramic brakes, sport exhaust, Powerkit (where available), adaptive sport seats, extended leather, full Porsche service history, any GT-specification features.
