Price on request
The Triumph TR3A (1957-1962) had full-width grille, exterior door handles, and 100hp standard. The definitive "sidescreen" TR with around 58,200 built - most common of the early TRs. Values from £30k.
TR2/TR3: Engine: Wet-liner 2.0 four - robust and tuneable. Check liner sealing, timing chain, oil leaks (normal for era). Gearbox: Non-synchro first (TR2/TR3) - learn double-declutch. TR3B has synchro box. Chassis: Separate chassis - check for rust, accident damage, poor repairs. Outriggers rust critically. Body: Steel body on ash frame in places - wood can rot. Doors, floors, sills rust. Front disc brakes (TR3+): Pioneering but need maintenance. Wire wheels: Check splines. Electrics: Lucas positive earth - conversion to negative common. Values: Strong, classic TR market established. Budget £2-4k annually.
