S2000: Engine F20C/F22C VTEC - extraordinary reliability IF: oil changes every 5,000 miles with quality 0W-30. Engine revs to 9,000rpm happily. Check VTEC engagement. Timing chain (not belt). Some oil consumption normal at high revs. Gearbox 6-speed - notchy when cold (normal). 2nd/3rd synchro wear if abused. Clutch heavy, wears. Differential can develop whine. Soft top condition critical - check rear window. Hardtop adds value. Chassis excellent but check for rust on UK cars - sills, rear arches, boot floor. Snap oversteer at high revs - respect required.
