Mercedes-Benz E-Class
W210 - W210
Price on request
The W210 E55 AMG (1998-2002) was AMG's first volume-produced E-Class performance car. The 5.4-litre M113 V8 produced 354hp, delivering effortless performance in a practical saloon body. While less dramatic than later supercharged models, the E55 AMG offered excellent performance with relative simplicity. Values are rising as collectors recognize its significance.
Engine: M113 V8 reliable but check for oil leaks from valley pan and cam covers. Cooling: Radiator and hoses. Transmission: 722.6 5-speed robust. Suspension: Airmatic optional - expensive if faulty. Rust: W210 generation known for rust - check arches, sills, inner wings. Body: Check for corrosion carefully. Brakes: Big discs expensive. General: Rust is the main enemy on W210s.
Panoramic roof, Designo leather, Rust-free example, Full service history, Estate body (rare)
