2016 Mclaren 540C

The 540C was McLaren's entry-level supercar, designed to bring the brand to a wider audience without compromising the core McLaren experience. The MonoCell chassis, twin-turbo V8, and SSG gearbox were shared with its more powerful siblings. With 533hp it was still devastatingly fast, reaching 62mph in 3.5 seconds. The 540C proved you didn't need 600hp to enjoy McLaren ownership, though it was discontinued after a relatively short production run as buyers typically stretched to the 570S.
