The 997 GT3 represents the pinnacle of naturally aspirated 911 development. The Mezger-derived engine produces 415hp (435hp in 997.2), revving to 8,400rpm with mechanical precision. Purpose-built for track work yet road legal, it offers the purest driving experience in the 911 range. The hydraulic steering, mechanical limited-slip differential, and communicative chassis create unmatched driver engagement.
Early 997.1 cars had IMS bearing concerns though the GT3 engine has improved oiling. Rear main seal weeps are common but usually cosmetic. PCCB brakes, if fitted, are expensive to replace. Excessive track use can cause gearbox synchro wear. Some suspension bushings wear prematurely on tracked cars.
Clubsport package, PCCB ceramic brakes, full bucket seats, Sport Chrono Package, front axle lift, rear seat delete, extended leather, Porsche Communication Management, any factory colour beyond standard.
