The Giulia 1300 (1964-1972) was the entry-level with 78hp 1290cc twin-cam. Still involving to drive. Most affordable classic Giulia. Values from £12k.
Classic Alfa: Engine - twin-cam designs are wonderful but need regular care. Timing chain (every 50k), valve adjustment, oil leaks. Carburettors need proper setup. Gearbox - check synchros especially 2nd. Transaxle cars (Alfetta) - check flex coupling and rear bearings. Body - RUST IS CRITICAL. Floors, sills, inner wings, boot floor, A-pillars. Steel construction corrodes. Many restored - verify quality. Budget £3-6k annually.
Giulia Super (most desirable saloon), Sprint/Spider bodies, Alfetta GTV, Montreal (appreciating), Good bodywork critical, Matching numbers, Service history
