About the MGA 1600 Mk II

The final evolution of the MGA (1961-1962), the Mk II featured a 1622cc engine producing 86hp and revised styling with a recessed grille. Only 8,719 were produced before the MGB took over, making it the rarest standard MGA variant.

Known Issues to Watch For

Rarity makes parts challenging for unique Mk II components. Recessed grille parts particularly scarce. Higher compression engine needs good fuel. Verify correct Mk II specification - many misidentified.
