About the DBS
The Aston Martin DBS (1967-1972) was designed by William Towns as a larger, more modern successor to the DB6. Initially with the 4.0-litre six, it was intended for the new V8 which arrived in 1969. The DBS featured dramatic styling and appeared in the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Around 787 six-cylinder and 70 V8 cars were built.
