2016 Jaguar F-Type

The Jaguar F-Type P300 (2020-present) uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 300hp. Entry-level F-Type but still a proper sports car. Significantly lighter than V8 models.

Engine: 4-cylinder Ingenium reliable. V6 and V8 supercharged very reliable. Supercharger whine normal. Transmission: 8-speed ZF excellent. Manual (V6 only) rare and desirable. Differential: Check for leaks on early cars. Electrics: Modern but complex - infotainment can be slow. Suspension: Check for knocks. Convertible: Fabric roof reliable - check operation. Budget £2-4k annually. Much more reliable than classic Jaguars.
