928 - 928 (1977-1995)
£27,456
The Porsche 928 (1978-1995) was intended to replace the 911 as Porsche's flagship. The front-engine V8 GT car offered exceptional build quality and refined performance. The aluminium V8 produced 240hp initially, growing to 350hp in later GTS variants. The 928 was ahead of its time with aluminium construction and sophisticated suspension. Now appreciated as a grand touring icon.
Timing belt critical (replace every 4 years/40k miles). Water pump. Oil leaks from various seals. Manual robust, Auto can be expensive. Complex rear suspension - bushings, ball joints. Electrics complex for era. Interior leather and plastics degrade. A/C expensive if faulty. Well-maintained cars reliable but neglected ones expensive to restore.
Manual gearbox, Full leather, A/C working, Recent timing belt, Good interior, Service history
