Taking the GT3's formula and stripping it further, the GT3 RS adds wider bodywork, aggressive aerodynamics, and additional weight savings. The 997.1 RS produced 415hp, while the 997.2 jumped to 450hp with the revised 3.8-litre engine. Adjustable suspension, roll cage provisions, and a fixed rear wing signal serious intent. For many, this represents the ultimate road-legal 911.
Similar to GT3 issues but more pronounced due to harder use. Roll cage mounting points can crack if improperly installed. PCCB costs are significant. Adjustable suspension requires regular checking and re-setting. Track-focused alignment accelerates tyre wear on road use.
Clubsport package (mandatory for some markets), full bucket seats with carbon backs, front axle lift system, any additional carbon options, extended colour palette choices, lightweight battery, air conditioning delete (very rare).
