About the Macan S

The sweet spot of the Macan range, featuring a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 producing 340hp (later 348hp). Offers the perfect balance of performance, sound, and value. The V6 provides a much more characterful experience than the four-cylinder, with strong mid-range torque delivery. Handles brilliantly and feels genuinely sporty while remaining practical for daily use.

Known Issues to Watch For

V6 timing chain and tensioner require monitoring. Transfer case and differential service critical. PDK mechatronic unit issues possible. Air suspension failures if equipped. Oil consumption can increase with age. Carbon buildup on intake valves requires cleaning.

Desirable Options

PASM air suspension, Sport Chrono, panoramic roof, BOSE surround sound, 14-way comfort seats, LED headlights with PDLS. Sport Exhaust adds character. Facelift cars (2019+) preferred.
