The MG TB (1939) introduced the new XPAG engine producing 54hp, which would power all subsequent T-Types. Production was cut short by WWII after only 379 cars were built, making the TB the rarest T-Type. Recognizable by its dry-sump lubrication system.
Extreme rarity means parts challenging. XPAG engine generally robust but dry-sump system unique to TB. All pre-war T-Type rust and woodwork concerns apply. Verify authenticity carefully - TBs command high prices.
Documented history essential. Matching numbers critical. Original specification. Any TB in good condition is highly desirable. Pre-war provenance documentation.
