The Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit (1980-1998) evolved the Silver Shadow formula with restyled body by Fritz Feller. The 6.75-litre V8 with fuel injection (from 1986). More reliable than Shadow.

Hydraulics: Self-leveling - improved over Shadow but still expensive when faulty. Mineral vs synthetic fluid issue - check history. Budget £4-8k annually. Late fuel-injected cars best.
