The MG TC (1945-1949) is the most famous T-Type, credited with starting Americas sports car movement when GIs brought them home after WWII. The 1250cc XPAG produced 54hp. With 10,000 built, its the most common T-Type. Characterful narrow body and 19-inch wire wheels define the classic MG look.
Chassis rails rust, especially at rear spring mounts. Ash frame body requires careful inspection for rot. XPAG engines reliable but check for oil leaks. Steering box wear. Brake adjustment critical. 19-inch tyres increasingly scarce.
Matching numbers engine and gearbox. Original tool roll. Period accessories (fog lamp, spot lamp). Export specification for US market (left-hand drive). Competition history documentation valuable.
