About the MGC GT
The MGC GT (1967-1969) paired the 2.9-litre six with the enclosed GT body. Better balanced than the roadster due to weight distribution. Distinguished by bonnet bulge for the taller engine. Only 4,457 produced. The GT format suits the engines touring character better than pure sports car use.
Known Issues to Watch For
As per roadster. Bonnet hinges stress crack from weight. Cooling system marginal for the bigger engine. Verify factory MGC vs B-to-C conversion - check chassis numbers and body stampings. Overdrive gearbox preferred.
