The Aston Martin DB7 (1994-2004) revived the DB name after decades. Initially using a supercharged 3.2-litre six (335hp), it later gained a 5.9-litre V12 (420hp). The DB7 was designed under Ford ownership by Ian Callum and saved Aston Martin from obscurity. Around 7,000 built - the most successful Aston Martin to date. Values start around £30k for early sixes, with V12 Vantages from £50k.
Engine: Supercharged six - supercharger, intercooler pump, head gasket. V12 - coil packs (12 of them), throttle bodies, coolant hoses. Both need regular service. Transmission: Manual robust. Touchtronic auto can be jerky. Electrics: Ford-derived but complex. Window regulators. Central locking. Instruments. Cooling: Critical - overheating causes head gasket failure. Check all hoses, water pump. Body: Generally well-protected but check sills, wheel arches on earlier cars. Trim: Interior trim wear. Leather. Wood. Hood (Volante): Mechanism generally reliable but check operation. General: The DB7 is the most affordable modern Aston Martin. Budget £3-5k annually for maintenance.
V12 Vantage specification, Manual gearbox, Zagato body (very rare), Low mileage, Full service history, Good colours
