This 1974 Citroën GS Birotor is one of 847 produced over a three-year span, and it is powered by a 1,990cc rotary engine linked to a three-speed semi-automatic transaxle. Chassis 00GG3396 spent time in Le Mans, France, before it was purchased in 1989 by marque specialist Andrew Brodie, who brought it to the UK.
The Citroën GS Birotor (1973-1975) is one of the rarest and most unusual production cars ever made. Powered by a Comotor twin-rotor Wankel engine (joint venture between Citroën and NSU) producing 107hp. Combined with hydropneumatic suspension and semi-automatic gearbox. Just 847 built before the 1973 oil crisis killed the project. Citroën bought back and destroyed most examples. Perhaps only 200-300 survive worldwide.
