1968 MG C ROADSTER

The MGC Roadster (1967-1969) was MGs attempt at a big-engined sports car using the 2912cc Austin C-series straight-six producing 145hp. The heavy iron engine added 200lbs over the front axle, earning criticism for understeer. Only 4,542 roadsters were made. Now appreciated for its relaxed high-speed cruising ability.

All MGB rust issues apply. Engine specific: head gasket failure common, oil leaks from rear main seal. Torsion bar front suspension unique to MGC - parts scarce. Heavy steering at low speeds. Automatic gearbox option unreliable - avoid. Check for correct C-series engine.
