The W204 C63 AMG represents the last naturally aspirated C-Class AMG and one of the greatest AMG engines ever made. The hand-built M156 6.2-litre V8 produces 457hp (487hp post-facelift) with an intoxicating soundtrack that defines the modern AMG era. Head bolt failures on early M156 engines (pre-2011) are the primary concern - updated bolts resolve this. Camshaft wear can occur if oil changes are neglected. Differential bushings wear on hard-driven cars. Brake wear is rapid given the performance. Gearbox (7G-Tronic) requires proper service. Budget for consumables.
