About the 911 Targa
The 996 Targa featured a large sliding glass roof panel, similar to the 993 Targa concept. The panoramic roof created an airy cabin ambiance while retaining coupe convenience. A practical compromise between coupe and cabriolet.
Known Issues to Watch For
All Carrera issues plus: Sliding glass roof mechanism complex. Seals can leak. Drainage critical. Glass panel expensive if damaged.
